Avidyne will have our IFD550 on display in Groton. Come by this weekend and check it out! Say hi to our very own Simpson Bennett!

AOPA Fly-In at Groton, CTOct 6, 9:00amGroton–New London AirportThe AOPA Fly-In at Groton Airport (KGON) presented by Columbia Aircraft Sales , is October 6-7. Now, with even more ways to develop your skills while you hang out with other pilots, AOPA has two days of workshops, seminars, exhibits, aircraft display, good food, and fun waiting for you.

Groton – New London Airport, located halfway between Boston and New York City, was the first airport built in Connecticut, in 1929, and became an Air Force training base during World War II. If you’re coming from the South or West, you can overfly New York City en route to the fly-in, or fly the famed VFR corridor along the Hudson River. From Groton, there are lots of fly-out destinations including the east end of Long Island, Cape Cod and other New England destinations.

Volunteering
Volunteers bring our fly-ins to life. By volunteering, you'll meet other volunteers, see the fly-in from the “insider’s” perspective, and make friends and valuable contacts that you will keep for years. Plus, there’s free lunch, and an AOPA Volunteer T-shirt and cap for your efforts! Learn about volunteering here: bit.ly/2kXl3pn

The last day for eligible aircraft owners to reserve one of the Federal Aviation Administration's $500 rebates for ADS-B Out compliance is Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.

The FAA is offering a $500 rebate to help owners of single-engine, piston aircraft equip now with the required avionics. Although the last day to make a reservation is Sept. 18, eligible aircraft owners who make a reservation by the deadline will still have 150 days to complete the remaining steps in the process to receive the rebate check.
